3M™ Splicing Tapes

of 3M™ Splicing Tapes offers non-woven double-coated tape, adhesive transfer tape, and double-coated polyester film tape.

If you are looking for a tissue double coated with acrylic adhesive, we recommend the 9080 High Performance Non-woven tape. This 3M™ splicing tape has a high level of tack when first applied and sticks well to numerous surfaces, particularly LSE materials like Polypropylene, certain Polyethylenes, and coated paper or varnish.

When working with flexible PVC materials or other vinyl’s take a look at the 3M™ 9465 Splicing Tape. This 3M™ tape is a specially formulated tape for working with flexible vinyl’s which require splicing tapes that will resist any effects caused by plasticiser migration.

The 3M™ 415 Double Coated Tape is a more permanent solution that will not degrade over time when used with impermeable surfaces. This tape will work with various materials, however, as it tends not to bleed into the paper it is a must-have if you are looking to minimise discolouration whilst working with posters or forms and official documents. The 415 Double Coated tape is a polyester film tape with acrylic adhesive backing.

Much like the 415 Double Coated Tape, the 3M™ 465 Double Sided Adhesive Transfer Tape creates a strong adhesive bond and is suitable for bonding various materials such as glass, wood, plastics, metals, foils, and papers. The adhesive on the adhesive transfer will not bleed, making this a good tape for paper stocks.
